No More Binge-Watching | Netflix To Begin Releasing Weekly Episodes

The days of binge-watching a complete series of Netflix Originals in a matter of hours are over. Netflix is killing the binge-watching habit for a number of its original shows. The streaming service is adapting a per-week episode release model, which will start with The Great British Baking Show and Rhythm & Flow. This is sure to change our viewing habits, as many of us will complete an entire season in one sitting.

While this model isn’t new, it’s indeed a drastic change for many of us, taking us back to the original way we watched television. Netflix’s decision may have been made to retain the suspense of eliminations. Rhythm & Flow will release its first four episodes on October 9, followed by episodes 5 to 7 one week later on October 16. The final episodes, 8 to 10 wrapping up the show on October 23. Netflix is following a model similar to Disney+. Disney’s streaming platform will debut episodes of shows like The Mandalorian and Loki per week. The new method could help build conversation regarding original programming.

The move will also help curb spoilers for those who haven’t seen the shows yet. Look for the change arriving to Netflix soon and look for your programing habits to change drastically. Keep it locked for much more from Netflix coming very soon.
