The love for music on this side is deep! We are always looking for great new music to add to the selection, so much so that we spend hours on Friday finding the best of the best. Who doesn’t love Charli XCX? She’s been doing her thing for a minute, and she just served up a new album called ‘Charli.’ Among the many standouts “Shake It” certainly stands out. The track is an energetic, impressive, club anthem that finds the pop star linking with an incredible lineup of artists. The smooth, soulful sounds of Ruel are back! The singer/songwriter serves up another outstanding example of his vocal prowess. “Free Time” is soulful and silky as Ruel again shows off his vocal abilities. One of the smoothest tracks on this week’s playlist, “Fuck No” is too dope. The track is pushed by these sparse drum sections and some slick guitar melodies. The backdrop provides the artists involved with an incredible home to do their thing. All of them take to the track and serve up a dose of their respective talents. This unlikely combination is something we’ve become quite fond of. The track has a modern pop meets R & B appeal, smooth, addictive and contagious along the way. Both James and Ty Dolla $ign showcase the best of their respective talents, getting quite a smooth backdrop in the process.
