If you haven’t gotten acquainted with the sounds of Omar Apollo, you are missing out. After serving up a handful of impressive singles for our listening enjoyment, he’s back with something new. This weekend, the artist made his return with an infectious new single entitled “Tamagotchi.” The track finds Omar showing off his vocal talents over top of something impressive produced by The Neptunes.
If you have followed along with The Neptunes’ IG account, you know that Pharrell and Chad Hugo have been working on some new material. The fellas aligned with the Mexican-American singer and songwriter, cooking up something fresh, new, and outstanding for our listening pleasures.
The track “Tamagotchi” is pushed by these hard-hitting, punchy drum sections and a laid-back guitar-driven melody. The instrumental provides Omar with a smooth home to do his thing upon. He doesn’t disappoint, providing us with some of his undeniable vocals and effortless appeal. If you haven’t gotten familiar with Omar Apollo, do so immediately.
