Reconstructing Race Icons | 1929 ‘Blower’ Continuation Race Cars

There is something special, compelling, and captivating about classic cars. Today we take a trip way back in time, back to the early days of speed and racing. Bentley has a long, storied history in automotive excellence. Their legacy is owed to the success of one iconic race car: the 1929 ‘Blower.’ The company is celebrating their centenary and doing so by recreating twelve continuation examples of that legendary automobile.

This daunting task is being overseen by specialist Mulliner team that’s reverse-engineering Sir Tim Birkin’s original 4½-litre Team Blower. This means that all twelve of the continuation vehicles come built to the exact same specifications as the original. Bentley is building twelve renditions as one for each race the original Team Blowers entered. The vehicles are built using modern techniques including 3D-scanning, alongside traditional ones, and the use of the original 1920s molds, these vehicles are set to be something special. Part modern marvel, part functional art, the 1929 ‘Blower’ continuation is sure to be something any auto enthusiast can appreciate. Bold with details, stunning in style, these beautiful recreations are nothing short of flawless.
