Boarding for Breast Cancer, a 501(c)3 nonprofit foundation providing breast cancer education, prevention and survivor support programs for young people, announced their 12th annual Skate the Coast event today. The event will take place over two days. Proceeds will go to B4BC’s mission and the proceeds raised will directly support their education, prevention, and survivorship programs. The 19-mile skate, bike or roll will begin at the Santa Monica Pier. The coastal cruise will conclude at Dive N Surf in Redondo Beach.
The Skate the Coast event kicks-off on Friday evening, October 11th with a registration party at Arbor Flagship in Venice. Guests will be treated to live music, BBQ by Traeger Grills, free-flowing Suja Juices, 10 Barrel Beers and a silent auction. On Saturday, October 12th, participants will collectively roll in a sea of pink along the iconic Strand. Heading from Santa Monica to Redondo Beach. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome to join in on the fun. All participants must fundraise a minimum of $50. However everyone is encouraged to fundraise as much as they can to support the cause.
All participants will receive a sponsor goodie bag, event t-shirt, and raffle tickets. The top three fundraisers will be recognized and awarded prize packs from partners including GoPro, Yeti, Skullcandy, Arbor, Vans, Von Zipper, Nixon, and more. This is certainly a great way to give back while getting out.
