The one and only, Salaam Remi, is back. Today the producer extraordinaire makes his return with something new entitled “One Time,” pairing up Akon in the process. 2019 was a busy year for Salaam Remi, who added something new to his catalog while offering an infectious array of collaborations along the way. Today Mr. Remi pairs up with Akon and provides something unique and refreshing. Salaam recently released his own EP, Do It For The Culture 2, and this track is one of a handful of standouts.
“One TIme” finds both artists bringing their a-game, providing a showcase of their respective talents. The track is driven by these snappy, hard-hitting drum sections, which are seamlessly paired with some addictive melodies. The track is just the latest from Salaam Remi. The rest of the EP, Do It For The Culture 2, is led by the singles “Find My Heart” with Nas and Amy Winehouse and the original (and J. Cole-free) version of “Come Through and Chill.” The album is loaded with 25 tracks, which compiles most of Remi’s singles over the past several years. Elsewhere there are appearances from Busta Rhymes, Stephen Marley, Gallant, and more.
