The good folks over at Champion Athleticwear are back in the news feed. This time around, the imprint is back to announce a new corporate social responsibility initiative, Champion For All. The goal of the new initiative is to raise awareness about the importance of inclusivity for people of all backgrounds. Champion has teamed up with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to celebrate the launch, donating 50,000 cotton face masks to the organization. In conjunction with the Champion For All initiative, the label is also launching a limited-edition capsule collection that is designed to inspire and empower positive change.
The Champion For All initiative is part of an ongoing commitment from the brand. The goal is to support and uplift non-profit organizations, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, creating more inclusive environments for all people.
David Robertson, Director of Champion Global Brand Marketing, spoke about the initiative. He stated: “While the launch of this initiative has been planned for some time, it carries more meaning today as we continue to live in uncertain times amid the coronavirus pandemic and civil unrest affecting our world.” Mr. Robertson went on to add, “Partnering with Boy & Girls Clubs of America is a great kickoff for this initiative, given their dedication to creating inclusive environments and helping youth of all backgrounds develop the skills and confidence to succeed in life.”
Chad Royal-Pascoe, National Vice President, Corporate & Cause Partnerships at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, also opened up about the partnership with Champion. Chad said, “We were so excited to collaborate with Champion on this collection and are tremendously thankful for their support.” Further adding, “Like us, the company has a genuine passion for youth engagement and a real awareness of the importance our youth will have in the future of our society and world-at-large.”
