For anyone who is frustrated by the bird and lime scooters that riddle city streets these days, this will not be welcome news. The creative minds at Segway have introduced an all-new scooter. Known as the KickScooter T60, the scooter boasts AI that makes it self-driving. Yes, you read that right, a scooter that drives itself. It’s not quite as scary as you’d first imagine.
The AI is primarily designed to deliver the scooter back to a charging station. This eliminates the need for, someone, to collect the scooters for recharging. This is certainly an interesting move, especially as Uber and Lyft look to get into the game. The KickScooter T60 is sleek and stylish, also coming with an array of unique safety features.
The scooter boasts camera sensors that detect nearby objects. If that wasn’t enough, it can also be controlled remotely with cloud technology. As of now, there are very few details regarding the KickScooter T60. However, it is set to arrive in early 2020 for $1,420. While this may not help keep the scooters from littering the streets, at least they will go home once the battery drains.
