Through the years, we have seen some stunning collaborations focusing on the Air Jordan 1. Today we get a look at a new addition to the Jordan Brand’s “Fearless Ones” collection. The Maison Château Rouge’s Collaborative Air Jordan 1 Mid. The French Brand has been tapped to design an AJ1 Mid, putting a luxurious spin on a sneaker icon. The design explores the story of MCR founder and designer Youssouf Fofana, who first met the Jordan team at the Quai 54 streetball tournament in Paris. As a result, the MCR AJ1 mid salutes both African and Parisian craftsmanship.
In doing so, the sneaker is draped in a combination of styles, cultures, and colors, providing something unique and eye-catching in the process. The sneaker boasts the hallmark powder blue hue, while contrasted with MCR’s signature yellows in both pastel and bright shades. The sneaker is also host to reddish-brown accents for a nod to Africa.

The design also includes various debossed patterns across the upper, acknowledging the gathering of multiple cultures. The detailing is clean and eye-catching. The powder blue hits the heel, mudguard, and collar flaps are exceptional. The brown is the seen draped on the forefoot and eyestays, while the yellows serve as a base layer of sorts. The tones and textures come together seamlessly, creating a patchwork-style design, representative of life in Paris’s diverse neighborhoods. This standout style is finished off with thick red stitching on the tongue and heel for a final nod to artisanal craftsmanship.
