The Future Is Electric | Switch eScrambler Motorcycle

Electric power is obviously the wave of the future. It’s already made an impact in the automotive world, and now it’s taking over the motorcycle realm. Custom motorcycle veteran Matthew Waddick has been building electric bikes for a while now. He’s linked up with designer Michel Riis, formerly of Yamaha Japan, and created Switch. Today we get a look at the brand’s first bike, the eScrambler motorcycle. This unique motorcycle takes styling cues from flat trackers and classic bikes of the ’70s.

Those classic and iconic looks are paired with straight-line power that bikes of that era could only dream of. This bad boy is capable of a 0-62 mph time of just 3.2 seconds with a 93 MPH top speed. If that kind of power doesn’t do it for you, it also features 93 miles of range of a full charge. The bike features a swingarm that pivots at the output shaft, eliminating the need for complex gearing. A belt is used for smoother power delivery, while a rear monoshock along with KTM fork 18-inch rims deliver both rideability and style. Sleek and unique, this machine is a brilliant modern an ode to classic designs.

Take a closer look at the Switch eScrambler motorcycle in the images below and look for a road-legal version for 2022. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more auto news, new motorcycles, and much more coming very soon.
