She’s back! If you haven’t gotten familiar with the sounds and talents of Tierra Whack, then you are missing out. The Philly representative is back with a brand new EP for our listening enjoyment, serving up an infectious new effort entitled Rap?. The quickstrike EP is packed with unique, contagious new material from the artist, who again shows off her creativity and talents.
Tierra recently sat down to discuss her music with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. Ms. Whack stated: “I listen to all classics all day.” She went further to add, “When I’m looking for that inspiration I dig, I go do my homework. So, the people who just really give it to you, they’re telling you the real story, and you can feel that they’re not leaving out any details. This is what happened, this is what happened to them. They were there, they went through it, and they got through it. So yeah, I’m listening to the classic legends. I’m going back, I’m digging. That’s what I like to do. My favorite thing is to watch documentaries and stuff too, films on artists of all sorts, music, art, every everything.”
Her new EP includes three standout singles, including “Stand Up,” “Meagan Good,” and “Millions.” Tierra again shows off her uncanny abilities behind the mic while providing us with some excellent new material.
