South Florida’s very own, Trina, is back! Today the wordsmith makes her return to the interwebs with a new single, fresh off of her VERZUZ battle with Eve. The two went head to head, Trina in Miami, Eve in London, celebrating their respective catalogs in the process. Following their battle, Trina took to the interwebs to drop off her first taste of new music since featuring on Latto’s remix of “B*tch from da Souf.”
The new single is called “Receipts,” and Trina doesn’t disappoint, linking with Hitmaka for the production. The track is pushed by a sample of “Can’t F**k With Me” by her longtime collaborator, Trick Daddy. Trina shows off her lyrical prowess and delivery, putting together something quite impressive in the process. Never one to disappoint; she certainly doesn’t start with this one. There is no word on where this track may end up or if she’s working on a new album, though we’re hopeful.
