2019 has been a big year for Ella Mai. While she’s made a name for herself with some impressive new material over the past few years, her shine is only getting brighter. Today Ella Mai is back, returning as the featured artist on Usher’s new single, “Don’t Waste My Time.” The track marks the first new track from the singer/songwriter since he dropped off his A project with Zaytoven. The veteran singer returns with something smooth and vintage, offering up something quite smooth alongside Ella Mai.
The track arrives after assisting Summer Walker on”Come Thru” off her Over It debut project. This time he shows out over top of some production from Bryan-Michael Cox and Jermaine Dupri. The duo put together something exceptional for Mr. Raymond and Ella to do their thing upon. Driven by some smooth, vintage-sounding melodies while paired with some slick drum work, the track provides a nice home for the duo to do their thing. They certainly do not fall short in the process, cooking up a solid showcase of their respective talents along the way.
