The smooth sounds of Khalid are back. The artist is back in the news with a brand new single, serving up a solid new effort entitled “Last Call.” It’s an important time for Khalid. Five years ago, he dropped off his debut album, American Teen, which featured singles such as “Young, Dumb, & Broke,” “Location,” and others. Since then, he’s been everywhere, and he is celebrating his debut album with something new. The artist served up an interactive retrospective called American Teen: The Yearbook and also dropped off a new single.
The track is called “Last Call.” Khalid took to Twitter and stated: “The first few steps of another chapter for myself,” adding, “Thank you guys for all of the love & support through my journey as an adult. This is my gift to you.” The track was produced by Digi, who laced Khalid with a smooth track to do his thing upon.
Khalid says, “Search for what will set you free; it’s not 2017 anymore. So you trust in a guy like me to give you everything in store.” The song also comes with a video that includes footage from his early days. Khalid also released a statement that reads: “I’m really excited to share ‘Last Call’ with all my fans.” He adds, “It’s important to me to commemorate this day and look back at everything that has happened. I can’t believe it’s been five years already. I hope you guys enjoy it and celebrate with me and all we’ve done together.”
