On Display! Ascaso Gallery Opens “Cute Tunes for Serious Sapiens”

The Ascaso Gallery in Miami recently opened the doors on their latest exhibition. The gallery has aligned with four artists to curate its “Cute Tunes for Serious Sapiens” exhibition. The showcase is a mix of viewpoints sharing similarities while exploring the “inner child” of us all. The exhibition blends art methods and styles, while balancing playful aesthetics and fine art details.

The collection includes the works of artists such as Javier Martin, Masako Miki, Noritoshi Mitsuuchi and Takeru Amano. The bright, airy space features a rainbow of color while draped in a clean white background. The influence of the whole exhibition is of Japanese anime and manga culture, while each artist creates a sense of individuality. The range includes Takeru Amano’s characters, which are based on western art history with a flat style and vibrant backgrounds.

Javier Martin uses different mediums, combining paint, printmaking and strips of neon colors for his “Blindness” portraits. Noritoshi Mitsuuchi’s pieces take on Japan’s known “Kawaiism” culture, while Masako Miki creates fun and vibrant sculptures which mimic folklore creatures.

“Cute Tunes for Serious Sapiens” is now on view until April 28th. Check out the outstanding exhibition in the images below and head over to the Ascaso Gallery to find out more right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more outstanding art exhibitions and art news coming very soon.
