A Sustainable Shift | Rumpl’s Innovative NanoLoftTM Puffy Blanket

The good folks over at Rumpl have a reputation as the leader in technical blankets. They’re back with something new, announcing their most significant evolution to date, the innovative new NanoLoftTM Puffy Blanket. The design features the integration of post-consumer recycled materials into the company’s growing product line. Also offering a full redesign of its Original Puffy Blanket.

The shift to recycled materials allows Rumpl to virtually eliminate the use of virgin plastic in their supply chain. Crafted from at least 60 discarded recycled plastic bottles reclaimed and respun into high-quality polyester thread. The new NanoLoft, Original Puffy, and other products are just the beginning. By the end of 2019, Rumpl will have recycled three million plastic bottles that would have ended up in landfills.

Wylie Robinson, Rumpl founder, and CEO spoke about the new sustatinable design. He stated: “The new NanoLoft and Original Puffy are just the beginning because the use of post-consumer recycled materials in our products reflects our values as a company, as well as what Rumpl fans want to see as we continue to grow and evolve.” He went on to add, “We’re looking across our product line and will be incorporating recycled materials into several of our new products launching later this year and in early 2020.”

Rumpl’s 100% post-consumer recycled NanoLoft is a breakthrough in insulation technology. It also marks the company’s first-ever synthetic alternative to down. Unlike other synthetic fills, NanoLoft insulation is made up of tiny circular clusters of fiber. This design mimics the properties of down clusters. The NanoLoft construction traps warmth inside small pockets of air to efficiently preserve heat. This helps provide lightweight warmth and compressibility with the wet-weather insulating performance of synthetic insulation.

The blanket is crafted to be packed down small. While built to rebound back to its original loft twice as fast as down. The all-new Original Puffy Blanket has been redesigned from the ground up, using recycled synthetic fill that packs down into less space than the previous version.

The exterior features 100% post-consumer 30D ripstop polyester with DWR, offering increased durability. It also assists in repelling dirt, odor, splashes, and spills. The NanoLoft Puffy and Original Puffy blankets are available in a variety of new colors and prints. The blankets also feature a new Cape ClipTM on the 1-person sizes, as well as new Corner Loops for anchoring to the ground, hanging and more.

Both blankets are available now and perfect for the outdoorsman in you. Take a look at Rumpl’s new blankets below and gear up for a comfortable adventure.
