Citizen Reveals Its Thinnest Light-Powered Watch

The creative minds over at Citizen are back in the news. Known for its watchmaking prowess, the label returns with an update to the world’s thinnest, analog, light-powered watch. The Eco-Drive One AR5060-58E features a classic look that reminds us of classic sports watches, though arriving with a thin, sleek, and strong build. The AR5060-58E Eco-Drive One features a black dial with Duratect Platinum-coated steel.

The design takes advantage of the material’s durability and weight-saving properties. The timepiece includes an Eco-Drive Calibre 8826, which is good for up to 12 months of running time. The case thickness of just 3.8mm and light-powered movement technology offer a clean look. Citizen worked in conjunction with Maxell to develop a rechargeable battery that can be powered by any light source for continuous and sustainable timekeeping. More than a stylish timepiece, it marks an advancement in design for the brand.
