An Anthology | DC Comics Reveals ‘The Joker: Put on a Happy Face’ Documentary

This year marks the 80th anniversary since the Joker was created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson. The villain made his debut in the first-ever Batman comic and has become a legend in the time since. To celebrate this momentous milestone, DC Comics has put together an incredible documentary that looks at one of the most infamous supervillains of all time. The anthology takes a closer look at Joker’s history and story, taking fans deep behind the man in the face paint.

The film is titled ‘The Joker: Put on a Happy Face’ and comes in at just over thirty-five minutes. Along the way, fans are immersed in the character and his development over the years. The Joker first arrived in 1940 and has made countless appearances across comic books, animated series, television, and the big screen. He has certainly earned his reputation as the most terrifying, enigmatic, and intriguing villain in pop culture. The documentary features appearances from over 40 actors who have portrayed him.

The Joker Returns!

Interviews include Joaquin Phoenix, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, Mark Hamill, and Jared Leto. There are even interviews with those who have worked alongside the Joker. We hear from the likes of Christian Bale, Stan Lee, Todd Phillips, Andrea Romano, Margot Robbie, Frank Miller, and more.
