It’s never a bad day when we get some new music from CHIKA. Fresh off landing on the XXL’s 2020 Freshman class, the rising star returns with a brand new single. Today CHIKA unleashes, “My Power,” an original song for the Netflix film Project Power. The film stars Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, though our focus today is on CHIKA. For anyone who hasn’t gotten familiar with the artist, now would be a great time to do so. She shows off her infectious style and delivery, doing so with an uncanny and unadulterated approach.
The track, “My Power,” is pushed by these hard-hitting, snappy, yet smooth drums, which are paired with some highly contagious melodies. The combination provides the artist with an incredible home to excel upon, and she doesn’t disappoint. CHIKA has been making quite the name for herself and looks to expand her presence as she will make her acting debut in Project Power as well.
