Creating Customs | The Deus Ex Machina Beastie Motorcycle

The good folks over at Deus Ex Machina are known for crafting eye-catching custom motorcycles. They’ve been in the game for years, and they have made plenty of animals. Today Deus Ex Machina is back, as we get a look at the Beastie Motorcycle. Michael “Woolie” Woolaway is the US Design Director for the company. Back in 2018, he decided to take a custom Ducati Hypermotard SP to the Pikes Peak Hillclimb.

He placed second in the exhibition classic, returning to Pikes Peak in 2019. He returned to the peak with an evolved iteration of the Ducati he rode in 2018, incorporating all the lessons learned from his first outing. The ride features a completely revamped look, only including the front wheel, number plate, and electronics. A Ducati Street Fighter frame replaced the original while rocking a magnesium swingarm and various other parts from a Ducati World Superbike racer.

The bike comes with a new aluminum fuel tank which comes built to look like Mark Marquez’s Honda MotoGP bike. The engine was tuned by Mark Sutton, pushing 180 horsepower, weighing in at just 340 pounds fully loaded. This is an incredible combination that equates to incredible speed. The customizers are always looking for new ways to go faster, and this stunning machine is proof.

Take a closer look at the eye-catching custom Ducati in the images below and learn more about the bike from Deus Ex Machina immediately. Keep it locked here to The Culture Curators for more custom motorcycles and rides of all sorts.
