Drake – ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’

This past Friday, Drake made his return. Toronto’s very own dropped a surprise project, even though rumors had persisted in the days leading up to the release. Today we get to check out his new project dubbed ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes.’ The “surprise” project is similar to his 2015 mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. The MC serves up a bevy of new tracks, though many have either been released or leaked in some form or fashion.

The mixtape is loaded with some gems, though, including features from the likes of Giveon, Chris Brown, Young Thug, Playboi Carti, Fivio Foreign, and Sosa Geek. Drake serves up singles such as “War,” “Toosie Slide,” “When To Say When,” “Chicago Freestyle,” “Desires” with Future.

It’s certainly one we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on, and we’re sure to hear many of the tracks much more moving forward. Drake took to Instagram and spoke about the project. He stated: “My brothers Oliver El-Khatib and OVO Noel put together a lot of the songs people have been asking for (some leaks and some joints from SoundCloud and some new vibes).” He added, “My 6th STUDIO ALBUM DROPPING SUMMER 2020!!! Lucky number 6.”

Take a few minutes from your busy day and check out the new mixtape, ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes,’ in the stream below. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more new music coming very soon.
