The brand with the three stripes is back in the news feed. adidas and Yohji Yamamoto are back as Y-3 adds something new to their fleet of footwear. Yohji Yamamoto’s label is known for crafting futuristic, eye-catching footwear and apparel. They arrive with a retooled rendition of one of adidas’ modern classics, adding an elevated approach to a retro design.
Y-3 has revamped the ZX Torsion, providing a high-end take on the low top silhouette. The sneaker finds its original materials updated, while subtle design features add a luxe aesthetic. The sneaker also includes an elevated, split-sole design, including a new lacing system for a cleaner look. Leather is used for the sock liner, and the tongue for a premium feel. The sneaker arrives in two colorways, an all-black iteration release at asphaltgold and a white version coming to Sneakerstuff. The black pair is our now, though the white pair doesn’t have a release date.
