Back in the news yet again, Netflix returns to make things a little easier. We spend more time looking for something to watch for many of us than actually watching programming on any streaming platform. Well, Netflix is aiming to make choosing programming a bit easier. Netflix has introduced a new tool that helps make viewing decisions for its users.
The new feature is called “Play Something,” which automatically puts on a new series or film based on previous viewing habits. Sure, the platform’s “Play Something” suggestion aims to keep you watching instead of searching; there is also a “Play Something Else” button that can launch a brand new series or film, a series that the user is currently watching, or more.
The tool can be found on the navigation menu, in the tenth row of the homepage, and underneath the user profile name. The company released a press statement that reads: “Whether you’re in the mood for a new or familiar favorite, just ‘Play Something’ and let Netflix handle the rest.”
