Giving Back | Fear of God, Off-White™, Union LA & More Pair For Charitable Tee

The good folks over at Fear of God are back. They have partnered with more than a half-dozen other brands for a collaborative t-shirt in honor of George Floyd. The new design finds Jerry Lorenzo and FOG linking up with Off-White™, NOAH, Awake NY, Union LA, Just Don, Denim Tears, Pyer Moss, and Melody Ehsani. The tee is more than a show of solidarity but also serves as a charitable way to raise money for the Gianna Floyd Memorial Fund.

The design is simple, though the message is undeniable. The tee features a metallic silver “GF” in capital letters on the front. This is a nod to be both George and his daughter, Gianna. The tee’s back features a roll call of participating brand logos in white under a Fear of God tag. The stacked style is reminiscent of past multi-brand charitable designs.

Jerry Lorenzo took to IG to speak about the design. He stated: “Verified our FG is a GF now… on May 25, 2020, when I learned of George Floyd’s death, I was visiting my parents in northern California.” He goes on to add, “after being locked up and quarantined for nearly three months, I wanted nothing more than to see my mother and father as a new perspective on life and the value of was taking place in my heart… a random fact also, as we pulled into Sacramento late Saturday night at a gas station near my parents, a middle-aged white woman said to me at the counter, “every time you guys walk in here w/ masks on, I think we’re about to get robbed.”… quickly reminded of my blackness, I was eerily comfortable back in the woods of northern California.”
