In case you didn’t know, Gucci Mane dropped off his 101st project this past Friday. The ATL native served up his highly anticipated project, Woptober II, unleashing a barrage of new material for our listening enjoyment. The project features a slew of excellent material, one of which we take a closer listen to today. The single is called “Bucking The System” and finds Gucci linking up with Kevin Gates for something impressive.
The track is the latest standout from Woptober II, which includes guest appearances from DaBaby, Kodak Black, Quavo, Lil Baby, Peewee Longway, Takeoff, and more. The single finds Gucci and Kevin Gates sharing a Zaytoven produced instrumental, each one ringing a dose of their respective talents in the process.
Kevin Gates raps, “Breadwinner fly and I’m goin’ out gangsta’ Gold mouth dawg and your homeboy fakin’ Breadwinner landlord, need a little favor Peterbilt, eighteen-wheeler with the reefer trailer I don’t get a load in, I’ma send a load, bitch Shot the strong arm to the judge up in court, bitch Ding-dong, push-button bricks, front door shit 1017, ni**a, Breadwinner, Brick Squad!” The fellas cook up something contagious and showcase their respective talents flawlessly. This isn’t the one to sleep on.
