Hidden Secrets Await | BAIT’s ‘Stranger Things’ x Nike Air Tailwind 79

Following up the release of the highly-anticipate Stranger Things x Nike collaboration, BAIT returns with another ‘Stranger Things’ inspired Nike silhouette. Today we get a look at the Stranger Things x Nike Air Tailwind 79, a sleek design which was released exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend.

The classic runner comes rocking a number of unique details that were pulled straight from the ‘Stranger Things’ universe. The one-off Air Tailwind 79 features a textural grey upper which can be burned away to reveal hidden logos and fabrics below. The underlying details of the sneakers match the back and red colors seen on the box, while white insoles are emblazoned with machinery sketches doodled by Murray Bauman and the title of the first episode: “Suzie, Do You Copy?” This serves as a reprisal of the now infamous code cracked by Robin, Steve and Dustin in an early episode, executed in both Russian and English.

BAIT launched the shoes over the weekend with a special scavenger hunt, with only a handful of winners able to get their hands on the limited-edition sneakers. Take a closer look at the detailed Stranger Things x Nike Air Tailwind 79 in the images and keep it locked for more new sneakers and footwear coming soon.
