Into The Future | 2020 Volvo XC40 Recharge SUV

Over the past few years, Volvo has completely changed its design language, evolving nicely with the times. Today the auto manufacturer is back with a look into the future, offering a first look at the  2020 Volvo XC40 Recharge SUV. This eye-catching new ride is based on the award-winning XC40 compact SUV. The difference being that the 2020 XC40 Recharge is Volvo’s first all-electric car.

It’s also the first in a whole range of all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The Recharge is powered by an all-wheel-drive powertrain delivering 408 hp, good for a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds and a range of over 200 miles. The charging is impressive too, boasting an 80% charge in just 40 minutes on a fast charger. The Recharge is also the first Volvo to arrive with an Android-powered infotainment system. The ride also comes fully integrated with the company’s Volvo On Call connected services. The 2020 XC40 Recharge is slated to arrive in early 2020, while Volvo intends on making all-electric models at least 50% of their global sales by 2025.

Take a closer look at the XC40 Recharge in the images below and find out more from Volvo immediately. Keep it locked here with The Culture Curators for more rides for the future coming soon.
