Back in October, the artist known as KAWS took to Instagram to tease a special toy collaboration. Today the artist is back to introduce his new line of ‘KACHAMUKKU’ vinyl toys in conjunction with the popular Japanese children’s show, Gachapin, and Mukku. After exchanging letters with the two characters, KAWS reveals a new toy inspired by their show.
After first debuting KACHAMUKKU at his Japanese exhibition, the artist has officially released the long-awaited vinyl toys at his online shop. The figure arrives as a hybrid of both furry characters, which are blended with one another in a simplified body frame. The collectible features the artist’s signature crossbones in the head and ‘X’ eyes. The first rendition features the original look and feel of the characters, while the second is adorned with an all-black palette reminiscent of KAWS’ past releases.
