Kid Ink – Champion

Los Angeles native, Kid Ink is back. It’s been a minute since he’s dropped off anything new; however, his hiatus is officially over. The rapper returns with a new single called “Champion.” The track arrives after his first single of 2019, “Magic,” which came out a few months back. Other than than, Kid Ink hasn’t released much since his ‘Missed Calls’ project from 2018.

The wordsmith again shows off his infectiously smooth abilities behind the mic, while getting quite the home to do so. “Champion” is driven by this triumphant, energetic instrumental which provides the artist a nice home to get motivational. As he does his thing, taking inspiration from the legends.

Ink raps, “Take another hit then I blowing down your fortress Biggie with the four four coming up your doorstep,” getting braggadocious along the way. Elsewhere Kid Ink raps about his team and any competition that stand in their way. He gives us something impressive and also gives us his first single in quite a while. No word on where the track might live, but we definitely hope to hear more from Kid Ink coming soon.

Check out the new track, “Champion” in the stream below and look for more new music coming soon. Hopefully, that includes more from Kid Ink; it’s been too long. While we’ve got your attention, check out the latest installment of our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
