The one and only Lil Nas X is back. After making an impact back in 2018 with “Old Town Road,” we’ve all been waiting patiently to see what was next from the ATL native. After spending two and a half years working on new material, the time has finally arrived for Lil Nas X to drop off his debut album. This past Friday, the artist served up his highly anticipated opus, Montero. The album comes loaded up with fifteen tracks, serving as a follow-up to 2019’s 7 EP.
Along the way, the artist links up with a few famous faces, including Elton John, Doja Cat, Jack Harlow, Megan Thee Stallion, and Miley Cyrus. He recently opened up about the album with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. Lil Nas X stated: “I feel like with this album, I know what I wanted.” He added, “I know what I want. I know where I want to be in life. And I know that’s going to take me being more open and bringing it out of myself no matter how much it hurts or feels uncomfortable to say things that I need to say.”
Do yourself a favor and check out the new project in the stream and look for much more from Lil Nas X coming soon. While you’re at it, be sure to keep it locked with The Culture Curators for all the best in new music.
