Lu Laboratories’ Stainless Steel Rubik’s Cube

The creative minds over at Lu Laboratories have elevated the Rubik’s Cube. The company has created an entire Rubik’s Cube from 303 stainless steel. The company initially planned to use more corrosion-resistant but opted for the more machinable 303 after trying 304 and 316. Those alloys were too “tough and gummy.” After a lot of pre-planning combined with CNC and lathe knowledge, Lu Laboratories created something stunning.

The Rubik’s Cube features custom engravings filled with enamel paint while weighing in at nearly three pounds. Lu Laboratories stated that solving it would be “more a test of the wrists than of the mind!”

Check out the cube in the image up top and head over to the Lu Labs website for more information. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more dope designs coming soon.
