If you have been tuning in with our musical selections as of late, hopefully, you’ve gotten familiar with Lucky Daye. The talented crooner has been on a winning streak as of late, and today he returns once again. This time around, the rising star is back with a new single entitled “Shoulda.” The track finds Lucky pairing up with the legendary Babyface, offering up something quite smooth.
The track arrives after the Teddy Riley and Babyface battle, as well as Teddy’s collaboration with Lloyd. Now Lucky and Babyface come together to showcase their respective abilities, putting together quite the showcase in the process. The track, “Shoulda,” is pushed by this incredibly catchy backdrop. The instrumental provides both singers with an incredible home to display their abilities. Both delivery flawlessly, cooking up something smooth and soulful, even interpolates the classic Babyface/Toni Braxton duet, “Love Shoulda Brought You Home.” This isn’t the one to sleep on.
