Lucky Daye – ‘CandyDrip’

The Grammy-nominated artist known as Lucky Daye is back! It’s been a minute, but this weekend the artist finally returned with a follow-up to his Table For Two project. His new opus is entitled ‘CandyDrip.’ The album arrives nearly three years after his debut studio album, and he definitely doesn’t disappoint.

Speaking about the new project via Instagram, Daye stated: ” [Three] years ago I released my first studio album for me.” He added, “It was an important turning point in my life. I can never thank you enough but I’m ready for something new.”

The album was produced by longtime collaborator D’Mile, and the two put together something quite impressive. The project is led by the single “NWA” and its title track while coming in with a total of seventeen tracks. Along the way, Lucky shows off his range and his growth as an artist, serving up a barrage of great new listening material. Lucky stated: “CandyDrip focuses mostly on flavors,” adding, “and the idea of flavors versus Painted, which was about colors. These are a bunch of different flavors of songs, giving you ear candy in different ways.”

‘Candy Drip’ is filled with absolute gems, including a bevy of standouts besides the two singles mentioned earlier. Along the way, Lucky is joined by the likes of Lil Durk, Smino, and Child. This isn’t the one to sleep on. Some of our favorites include “God Body” featuring Smino, “Guess,” “Deserve,” “Compassion” with Child, and “Used To Be.” Lucky never lets us down, and he certainly doesn’t start with this one.

Check out the infectious new project in the stream below and look for much more from Lucky Daye coming soon. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for all the best in new music.
