Notorious Rides | Al Capone’s Bulletproof 1928 Cadillac Sedan

While we’ve seen some exceptional classic cars through the years. We’ve seen nothing quite like this, nothing with quite the notoriety. Today we get a look at Al Capone’s Bulletproof 1928 Cadillac Sedan. Before politicians and royals made armored vehicles a must-have, there was this. Al Capone’s 1928 Cadillac is something special. This car has quite a notorious past life, as well as extensive documentation since leaving Capone’s ownership.

The sedan was brought into Richard “Cappy” Capstran’s father’s shop by Capone’s men for the bulletproof conversion. Upon being told that the shop didn’t do that kind of work. The owner was informed that he did do that type of work as of that moment. The vehicle was outfitted with steel plates, while including bullets lodged in them from testing. This stunning machine is probably the most interesting celebrity car on the market.

It’s also one of the first armored cars in history. Take a closer look at this beautiful ride in the images below and find out more from Celebrity Cars right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more classic cars coming very soon.
