It’s been far too long since we got anything new from Obie Trice. That all changes today! The wordsmith is gearing up to drop off a new album on August 23rd, and he returns with a new single called “’92”. The track finds Obie again showing off his lyrical prowess and depth. The wordsmith again puts together an impressive display of his talents along the way. The track is the first single from Obie’s impending album, and he certainly doesn’t fall short.
The track is pushed by this infectious instrumental. Obie gets a nice home to excel, and he certainly doesn’t fall short. The wordsmith took to Instagram to open up about the new single and his new album. Mr. Trice stated: “I know I don’t keep up with the Joneses, but I’m blessed thanks to YOU and blessed to put out my 5th release on my terms.” He also added, “Thanks to everybody who understands me as an individual. It’s just how I was feeling at the time when I penned it.”
Obie finished off his post with, “I speaks my mind and never compromise integrity–good or bad, some shit need to be said, period. OG, but you can’t out rap me. I live this shit.” The track is certainly one we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on.
