Detroit’s very own, Obie Trice is back! After serving his first single in quite a long time, “92,” Obie returns with his fifth studio album. The album gets a rather suitable titled, dubbed ‘The Fifth,’ the project finds Obie again hitting us with his uncanny and unadulterated talents. ‘The Fifth’ comes locked with fourteen new tracks, led by the single mentioned above. Along the way, the Detroit native wordsmith links up with the likes of Xzibit, D12‘s Swifty McVay, Spice 1, Lyriq, and more.
Obie serves up a solid collection of new music, and he recently spoke about the project on Instagram. Mr. Trice stated: “I know I don’t keep up with the Joneses, but I’m blessed thanks to YOU and blessed to put out my 5th release on my terms.” He went on to thank the fans, and also spoke about the depth of the album. Obie added, “Thanks to everybody who understands me as an individual. It’s just how I was feeling at the time when I penned it.” He continued, “I speaks my mind and never compromise integrity–good or bad, some shit need to be said, period. OG, but you can’t out rap me. I live this shit.”
