Rick Ross – ‘Richer Than I Ever Been’

Miami’s very own Rick Ross is back. It’s been two years since the wordsmith has dropped off a new album, but that all changed Friday. The lyricist served up his eleventh studio album, this one entitled ‘Richer Than I Ever Been.’ The project opens with a dialogue from cocaine kingpin Willie Falcon, while the rest of the album features twelve new tracks. Along the way, Rozay is joined by a bevy of talented artists, including Benny the Butcher, Jazmine Sullivan + 21 Savage, Wale, Future, Blxst, Wiz Khalifa, Dreamdoll, Yungeen Ace, and Major Nine.

Along the way, Rick Ross and friends showcase their talents over top of an impressive array of production. The soundtrack is produced by the likes of Timbaland, Boi-1da, StreetRunner, AraabMUZIK, Bink!, Don Cannon, Johnny Shipes, DJ Toomp, Cheeze, and a few others. A few notable standouts worth closer attention include “Rapper Estates” with Benny the Butcher, “Can’t Be Broke” with Yungeen Ace & Major Nine, “Marathon,” and “Imperial High.” Rick Ross puts together another solid example of his talents, weaving his wordplay over top of some exceptional instrumentals along the way.
