It’s been a long time coming! This Friday Rick Ross drops off his highly anticipated new album, Port Of Miami 2. We’ve been waiting on this one! Before he does so, the biggest boss of them all is back with a new single, unleashing another infectious one called “Turnpike Ike.”
The track is the latest single from Port of Miami 2, following “Act A Fool” with Wale, the Just Blaze-produced “BIG TYME” with Swizz Beatz and “God Roses” with Drake. This time around Rick Ross gets busy over top of production from Jake One. The track’s production rehashes the production from Wale’s “Groundhog Day” from 2016.
“Turnpike Ike” is driven by these smooth melodic elements which are paired nicely with some cool, clean, crisp drum work. The track makes a stunning home for Ross, who gets into his lane of luxury rap and excels. The track is just the latest from Rick Ross, who has been quite busy as of late. After unleashing a slew of new music over the past few weeks, it looks like Port of Miami 2 is finally ready to roll.
