Road Worthy! Rod Stewart’s Lamborghini Countach LP400 Periscopio

We have a soft spot for iconic vehicles, and today we get a look at one set to hit the auction block. Today we get a look at a beautiful 1977 Lamborghini Countach LP400 once owned by the legendary Rod Stewart. The vehicle was delivered to Australia in rosso with a tobacco interior, and it’s one of just 157 of the highly desirable ‘periscopio’ models.

Once owned by Lamborghini aficionado Rod Stewart, the car was delivered to the artist while he was touring in the land down under at the time. The vehicle marks the first of three Countachs he would own. The automobile was kept in Stewart’s studio, where he recorded the record Blondes Have More Fun.

The car can also be seen in images found in his autobiography. Eventually, the car would cross continents and be extensively modified over the years before being sold by Stewart. The current owner purchased the car in 2013, and it was restored to its original specs. The vehicle comes with a well-documented history and restoration.
