Throughout the past several years, Russ has continued to unleash new material for our listening enjoyment. From new projects, EP’s, loosies, videos, and more, he continues to lace us with exceptional new material. He continues the trend today, unleashing a brand new track entitled “Old Days.” Russ again shows off his lyrical and vocal talents, as well as his thoughtfulness with the lyrics.
The track arrives after trading records with Rexx Life Raj, and this time Russ holds things down on his own. Never to one to need assistance, Russ provides a solid dose of his talents behind the mic, getting quite the backdrop to do so. The track was produced by Mike Hardy, who provided Russ with this mellow, refreshing, and incredibly cool backdrop.
The wordsmith does his thing over top of this catchy melody, which is paired with some mid-tempo drum work and crisp percussion. The result is nothing short of smooth and something we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on. Russ continues to do his thing, keeping us blessed with new music and growing even more as an artist.
