The one and only Russ has returned. Today the wordsmith is back with another new single for our listening enjoyment. The new track is called “When I’m With You,” which is just the latest loosie from the wordsmith. While he hasn’t released an album since Shake The Snow Globe, he served up an EP entitled CHOMP last year. Since then, the lyricist has been unleashing a slew of new singles.
“When I’m With You” is the latest, a smooth effort that finds Russ again showing off his lyrical prowess and delivery. The track is pushed by a silky smooth combination of sounds, driven by this laid-back acoustic guitar. Russ takes to the laid-back instrumental and provides something deep and potent along the way. While he leaves the wordplay to the side, he shows off his vocal side and cooks up something quite impressive in the process.
This is certainly one we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on. No word on where this track may live or if Russ has any bigger plans for the future. However, we’ll keep you in the know.
