In our endless quest for new music, we often stumble across artists that go on to reach heights that we didn’t see coming. Stefflon Don has been on an upward swing since we first were put on to her music. For anyone that unfamiliar with her, you’re missing out. The artist has been making quite a name for herself, and she recently showed out on Quality Control’s Control The Streets Vol. 2 compilation.
Today she is back, and she returns with a brand new single of her own. The track is called “HIT ME up,” and once again she doesn’t disappoint. The new single finds Stefflon going in over top of this radio-friendly, summer-inspired jam that will certainly get stuck in your head. “HIT ME up” is pushed by these energetic drum sections and crisp percussion, paired with cool, fresh guitar-driven melodies. The combination provides a nice home for the singer/songwriter to do her thing. She brings her a-game and in turn brings us with something solid to rock with. For those of you unfamiliar with Stefflon Don, start paying attention now. For those of you who are, press play and enjoy something new asap.
