Style x Art | Supreme x Joel-Peter Witkin Fall/Winter 2020 Collection

Following up its unexpected collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto, Supreme is back at it once again. This time around, the iconic streetwear imprint is back with a new collaboration, pairing up with Joel-Peter Witkin. The new capsule collection accompanies the Fall/Winter 2020 Week 5 Drop, while centered around the artist’s evocative imagery. The imagery disrupts conventional notions, touching on mortality, desire, and spirituality.

The collection draws on early photographic history and Daguerreotype techniques and religion and paintings from Caravaggio and Giotto. The surreal scenes often feature people in society’s margins, as well as cadavers and more. The artist was a photographer in the Vietnam War in the ’60s before becoming the official photographer for “City Walls, NYC,”; an organization that produced murals throughout NYC.

The new capsule collection from Supreme celebrates the artist with a range of unique designs and eye-catching graphics. The collection consists of a hoodie and two T-shirts while featuring three of Joel-Peter Witkin’s images. Those included are Mother and Child (With Retractor, Screaming), Harvest, and Sanitarium.

Check out the eye-catching new range in the images below and head over to Supreme to pick up your favorite pieces on September 24 in the United States and September 26 in Japan. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more style and streetwear coming very soon.
