Well, 2020 is officially upon us. As we kick off the new year, Nicki Minaj returns to the interwebs, doing so with a brand new track for our listening enjoyment. The track comes from Nicki and Swae Lee, who teased the track late in December of 2019. Entitled, “Cap Backwards,” the track finds the duo bringing their a-game, showcasing their effortless appeal in the process. The track comes after a rather slow few weeks, as folks enjoyed the holidays.
Now it’s back to business as the duo serve up an impressive single produced by Jaegen. The single, “Cap Backwards” is pushed by these hard-hitting, snappy drum sections, which are seamlessly paired with some catchy melodies. The combination provides Nicki and Swae with an exceptional home to do their thing. Both bring their a-game and put together something infectious and impressive in the process. The track was co-produced by Francisgotheat. This is certainly not one we’d suggest sleeping on.
