The Future Is Fast! The Ford F-150 Lightning Electric Truck

The popularity of electric vehicles has grown exponentially over the past five years or so. The good folks over at Ford are looking to the future, unleashing a first look at the new Ford F-150 Lightning Electric Truck. A first of its kind for Ford, this stunning machine keeps the aesthetics the same while changing up the power.

The vehicle’s exterior styling remains almost identical while even boasting the large LED light strip wrapping a solid grille insert. The truck comes rocking dual electric motors and two battery pack options that are capable of producing 563 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque.

Ford also indicates the vehicle will boast a range of around 230 miles from the standard pack and 300 miles for the Extended Range option. While performance numbers haven’t been released just yet, Ford claims that the truck is capable of a mid-four second 0-60 time. This would mean that it’s on par with the Raptor and slightly faster than the last Lightning in 2004.

The engine well in the front has been transformed into a truck, adding to its cargo space while still boasting the ability to tow up to 10,000 pounds. Check out this eye-catching new truck in the images and head over to Ford to find out more about the  Ford F-150 Lightning Electric Truck immediately.

Look for the truck to hit dealers in Spring 2022. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more from the automotive world coming very soon.
