Road-Worthy Icons | 1973 Iso Grifo GL Series II

If you know anything about us here at The Culture Curators, know that we love classic rides. One classic car that we don’t see a lot of anymore is the Iso Grifo. This lauded automotive firm was a proving ground of sorts, creating some eye-catching designs in the process. Today we get a look at one such ride, a stunning machine that is getting ready to hit the auction block. Iso Grifo was created by Renzo Rivolta, while also helping designers like Giotto Bizzarrini and Giorgetto Giugiaro get their start.

Today we get a look at a beautiful 1973 Iso Grifo GL Series II that is gearing up to hit the auction block. This stunning machine isn’t and wasn’t your typical Italian sportscar. The ride features a lightweight Corvette engine and drivetrain, departing from the industry’s stereotypical design principles. The ride boasts a sleek, low-slung chassis that has a look at its own. In 1970, Rivolta updated the Grifo into the Series II, which came standard with a powerful Cleveland 351 V8 and automatic transmission. Other details included a premium leather interior and even power steering. This specific model has been kept in exceptional condition and will soon hit the block at RM Sotheby’s London auction. The vehicle is expected to bring in an estimated $233,000+.

Take a closer look at the eye-catching classic in the images below and find out more about the icon from RM Sotheby’s immediately. In the meantime, keep it locked here with The Culture Curators for more classic cars coming very soon.
