Art On Display! Geoff Mcfetridge Unveils “These Days Are Nameless” Exhibition

The Los Angeles-based artist Geoff McFetridge is taking his art to Copenhagen. The V1 Gallery will host a new exhibition from the artist, entitled “These Days are Nameless.” The showcase will feature an array of the artist’s vivid acrylic on canvas works. Throughout, the artist includes his signature, faceless figures with bold forms and intriguing arrangements.

The gallery described the exhibit in a statement. It describes the show as “A poetic reflection about time, thoughts, community, individuality and shared feelings without words through a new series of competent paintings.” McFetridge is known for his graphic compositions that include fine lines and striking colors, playing with repetition and perspective. His paintings often portray human figures, body parts, objects, shapes, and creatures, in compelling color schemes. The artist is also known for reconstructing familiar figurations to create abstract designs.

One of the highlights of the upcoming exhibition is a piece entitled A Visible Mantra 2020. The art features six individuals lying beside each other. The gallery also described the exhibition in a poem, which can be read below:

We filled the room

With what we thought would be most useful

 The substance of living

It took the shape of the walls

And went to the height of the ceiling

Like a train that has grown to the length of its tracks

Check out a few select pieces from “These Days are Nameless” in the images and visit V1 Gallery’s website for more information. The show is slated to run from October 24 to November 21. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art news coming very soon.
