The good folks over at Mercedes-AMG are bringing even more speed to the streets. With an impressive fleet of incredible machines, AMG is back with the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Coupe. Mercedes is bringing racecar performance to the street, offering what might just be the fastest road-legal car to come from the manufacturer. The vehicle comes rocking a sleek and stylish design that is host to a hand-assembled flat-plane crank twin-turbo V8.
The new engine provides 720 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque from 2,000 to 6,000 RPM. That equates to an impressive 0-60 mph time of just 3.1 seconds with a top speed of around 202 mph. All of that power is combined with aerodynamics taken directly for the GT3 race car. The GT Black Series is outfitted with a front splitter, side skirts, and a massive rear wing for added downforce. All of these details come together for a stunning combination of speed and style.
If you need further proof, the GT Black Series now holds the production car record for the Nurburgring. The car lapped the 12.8-mile section of the course in just 6:43.616. Take a closer look at the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series in the images and look for the vehicle to arrive in early 2021.
