Known for creating and crafting iconic, legendary sportswear, Champion is back. Champion links up with clothsurgeon yet again for an elevated range of essentials. After teaming up on an Ivy League-inspired collection with Champion, clothsurgeon has linked up with the sportswear icon yet again. This time around the two brands have created a timeless collection that adds a refreshing new touch to their nostalgic designs.
The elevated capsule collection includes a range of vintage collegiate designs. These include hoodies and cardigans, letterman jackets, and more, which are detailed with silk and velvet textures. These unique contrasts are seen across original Champion garments incorporating unique designs and fabrics. This makes for a bespoke approach, taking the label’s signature styles to a new level. Sweatpants are revamped into tailor slacks, while both sweatshirts and jackets boast a more structured shape including details like chain-stitched embroidery and custom patches.
clothsurgeon founder Rav Matharu spoke about the collaboration. He stated: “I have an obsession with vintage sportswear, so to work with Champion during their 100th year anniversary was a real exciting opportunity. To be able to do something new for the Champion brand in terms of silhouette and fabrication, whilst still keeping both brands DNA intact.”
