The Taiwanese-American artist James Jean is taking his talents to the digital realm. The artist is back in the news with a new NFT entitled ‘Woodcutter Awakening.’ The NFT was made in collaboration with Zachary Corzine and Nosaj Thing. The NFT arrives as a digital animation that features a veteran woodcutter that burns off his hardened outer layer to reveal his true colors.
Then the renewal process begins as mycelium and moss regrow the Woodcutter, which becomes fuel again for a fire that is a catalyst to revealing the inner workings of the design. The owner of the 1-of-1 NFT will receive both the 8K MOV file, along with exclusive access to future drops released by the artist. The token also coincides with the installation of a monumental bronze sculpture by Jean called Slingshot at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. The NFT ‘Woodcutter Awakening is available for bidding until February 18 at 6 pm PST.
